While you are not well versed in the numbering of offices, make it a rule to come 10-15 minutes earlier. If you are not late for class, you will not violate the internal rules that are common to all students.

You need to know the curator by sight. This is exactly the person who will help you quickly solve various issues. At the first meeting, write down his last name, first name, patronymic, contact phone number.  Tell the curator about your achievements, what you can do, what you can do, share with him your thoughts about what you want to prove yourself in.

On the first day, find the class schedule of your group on the information board (remember the code of the specialty and course) and rewrite it. We do not recommend using the first notebook that comes to hand for this purpose. Create a diary (in any format) to record important information. The college schedule may change, so double-check it again.

With a notebook in your hands, go around the entire college building. Find out what time the canteen is open.  Create chat groups with your fellow students, write down phone numbers and email addresses. Do not hesitate to call them to clarify the schedule, to warn them about their absence from class.

The college library has educational literature that will help you prepare for classes in a high-quality way. There is also an electronic reading room. The library is served upon presentation of a student ID card.

You should have a separate notebook for each subject.  On the back of the cover, write down the last name, first name and patronymic of the teacher leading the subject. Keep your notes accurate and timely. Remember that the notebook characterizes the student. Also, «in reserve» put the pens in the bag. It is useful to carry colored markers to highlight important information.

Remember that the preparation for the session begins with the first lesson. Systematically study subjects: regularly study notes, independently read additional material, work through the most difficult questions.

In the classroom, work actively: speak with additions, clarifications, ask questions. In case of difficulties, contact the teacher. Do your homework every time.

Don’t miss classes! Remember that there is a strict record of those present and absent. If you missed a school day for a good or disrespectful reason, you will have to work out every lesson. In case of illness, study the missed topics on your own every day to get an individual task on the way out and complete it successfully.

Behave yourself. Be correct, courteous in dealing with others. Respect other people’s opinions.

Live and think positively. Do not waste your energy on unnecessary experiences. Show yourself in the student life! Show your talents! Remember that you need to combine academic and social work. Be an active participant in events, contests, and viewing events.

Are there any specific appearance requirements?

In our educational institution, the classic style of clothing is traditional. Young men wear dark-colored trousers and light-colored shirts, jackets, and ties (or bow ties). Girls follow the office style: a straight dark-colored skirt that covers the knees, a white blouse, a jacket or a jacket that matches the color of the skirt. Straight classic trousers are allowed. It is necessary to ensure that the head is well-groomed: braid clean long hair. We do not allow bright makeup, high-heeled shoes for safety reasons.

Are students part of any youth organization?

The student years are a time of special fraternity. The rapprochement of young people who have come from different parts of the Republic of Kazakhstan takes place during the «Freshman Week»: exciting trainings, excursions, meetings will help you get acquainted with the college, join the student life. In the month of October, you will have another big holiday — «Dedication to students». This event finally fixes your social status-a student. You will be handed a student ID card, which is an official document.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

Academic scholarships (i.e., based on the results of study) in the first semester are awarded to all first-year students of groups studying under the state order. In the second semester, the scholarship is awarded based on the results of the session for the previous semester. Those with satisfactory grades are deprived of it for the upcoming semester, but at the end of their studies in the new semester, the student can again become the owner of an academic scholarship.

How is the knowledge control of first-year students carried out?

Students are interviewed regularly during the training session. The current marks are recorded in the log. Twice a year (on November 1, on April 1), an intermediate knowledge control is carried out. The results of the interim testing are announced by the curator. The examination session involves passing tests and exams. The subject teacher submits grades to the journal. The results of the interim test affect the scholarship award.

How long does the first semestr last? Are there any holidays?

First-year students of all specialties start classes on September 1. First semester (for students enrolled after Grade 9) it is 19 training weeks. The vacation lasts 2 weeks. You can learn more about how many school weeks in each semester, when you practice, from the schedule of the educational process, which is located on the information stand on the first floor or at your supervisor.

Are first-year students supposed to practice?

Professional training in the college is of a practical nature. The schedule of the educational process reflects all types of practices. The first-year training is completed with an introductory practice, the passage of which is mandatory.

If you have health problems...

According to the curriculum, all the specialties of the college in the list of subjects there is a discipline «Physical culture». If you have any health problems, please collect all the necessary documents in advance (before the start of the school year)and get a certificate from the VCC.

If you feel unwell, be sure to contact a medical professional at the college, who will examine you and decide where to send you for further examination and treatment. Do not hesitate to talk about poor health, malaise, illness — a nurse will give you first aid.

If something happened...

Trouble can happen to anyone. Do not despair. In the first few minutes, you need to cope with the panic and seek help and advice from an adult: a teacher, a curator, a head teacher, a director, a psychologist, a medical worker and a janitor. First of all, tell your supervisor about your problem. If the situation is such that you are afraid of a frank conversation with an adult, then the college has a «Trust Box» for this, which is located on the first floor.
